Several media houses braved the horrendous winter chill to attend the Tobago Media Reception hosted by the Tobago House of Assembly, Division of Tourism and Transportation at The Explorers Club in Upper Manhattan New York. The event ushered in a new relationship between Caribbean Airlines and Tobago. Caribbean Airways will now be flying to Tobago as the main airlift Carrier to the Island Nation effective Sunday December 12, 2010.

Mr. Campbell Rudder, Regional Manager for Caribbean Airways made this announcement while delivering his speech to explain the new relationship being ushered in since Tobago’s previous air carrier Delta, will no longer be providing service to the Island.
Mr. Rudder explained that Caribbean Airlines will be providing exceptional service in the air second to none when answering the question, “what makes our service different. “ His response was …“We bring the warmth of the Islands, great in-flight service to include a smile, serve hot meals, two bags per customer, senior discounts over sixty, family and children discounts through eleven years old.”

He continued to explain that Caribbean Airlines will remain committed to providing exceptional service in Tobago with direct flights from New York, commencing Sunday December 12, 2010 at 7:55AM and returning 7:55 pm. According to Mr. Rudder, the in and outbound flight times will allow for great connections from around the world and beyond.

Remarks were also made by Assemblyman Mr. Oswald Williams, Secretary of Tourism and Transportation Tobago House of Assembly who praised the new airlift relationship.  On hand at the event were several staff members from Tobago Tourism and Cheryl Andrews Marketing Communications, the official Public Relations Company of Tobago Tourism.
